A little insight for anyone wondering.
Hello to all of our Dealer Network,
It is with great disappointment that we must announce the cancelation of the 2018 EC200 and 2018 XC200 for the USA market. After many months of anticipation and patiently awaiting this model to arrive, the bikes were produced last week and awaiting shipment in a container to the USA this week.
Sadly, there was a fire that occurred Saturday early morning and it appears all were damaged by heat or smoke to the level of no resale or export. We understand the frustrations that you the dealer must have in reading this information, as much as we have experienced when we were notified as well. All we can do at this stage is to accept the issue and be thankful no one was hurt in this fire or in the process of extinguishing the fire and look forward to 2019 models including a 200 as well.
As we gather more information from the factory into the extent of delay in receiving parts for stock and sales orders, we will try to forward this onto you the dealer as best as possible.

As you may already know, Saturday night we suffered a fire in our factory in Salt (Girona). Thankfully, no one was injured and the factory sustained only material damages.
Despite the dramatic image of the fire, and the great amount of smoke created, the flames only affected part of the northern side of the factory, including the expedition area.
Areas such as the offices or the manufacturing and engines assembly line were only affected by the smoke. The building's structure is preserved, and we will be able to keep our expected delivery dates the soonest possible.
The causes of the fire, as it is reflected in the firemen report, is unknown. We at Torrot/GasGas will reinforce our security measures in order to avoid a future situation and we will continue working to find the root causes.
From all of us at Torrot/GasGas we sincerely appreciate all the messages we received during these last few days supporting us. This situation, together with the love we have received, makes us even stronger.
