First EWXC for 2016 - South Africa

Hi guys.
So i tried one of the tough enduro races here in South Africa.
It is mid summer now and the heat is hectic.
I was in the second group to pull of at mid day.
The heat simply killed us. The race was TOUGH. That first climb in the video took 18 minutes to clear as an example.
It was by far the toughest thing i have ever done in my life.

Congrats to you for giving it a go. I know I would never even attempt something like that. You know the hill is steep when it looks steep in a wide angle GoPro video!!

Hell man, that looked brutal

It's pretty telling with all the bikes & riders off to the side of the course, any idea what how many finished vs how many started?

All that rock is just punishing, imagine your skid plate has it's share of scars...lol.

Good on you for giving it a go Francois, and good luck for the racing coming up on the 27th. Any chance it'll be somewhere that has actual dirt instead of rock with dirt patches (lol)?

It was absolutely brutal.
Some guys were flying on it. 30 minutes a lap in the morning crowd.
Took my unfit self 3 hours.
3 guys in my class managed the 2 requied laps out of 50 plus guys.

The next one should be better. Entering seniors class. Bit harder than club class, but early in the morning.
