Well I finally got the family holidays behind me. All the bits and pieces back on my EC. Checked it over a couple of times...just waiting for the weekend to come along.
Then tonite I came home from work to an empty house. No wife, no kids, time for Dad to sneak out the back door and go for a rip. The first one.
I had to ride down a block before I could access a trail that leads up into the hills behind our house. From there its just miles of S/T and D/T forever.
The bike is stock for jetting I'll run her a bit then get into jetting after a couple of tanks of fuel.
EC 300 This Bike is by far the best thing I have ridden.
Suspension: I have never put any thought into spending much time or moneys into my suspension. Besides trying different rebound / compression setting. And just living with the results. When I picked up my EC 300 with the new Sachs forks I was told they were pretty stiff to say the least. I've also heard nothing but praise about Les @ LT Racing and the magic he can perform. That my friends is an understatement. I can't believe the Trail Trash the forks soak up. Money very well spent. If you have a little extra coin forget about the Bling... Really, put it into your suspension you will not go wrong.
The rear is a bit stiff and will take time to break in.
Ergonomics: Pretty much spot-on for my height. 6'. I had to add about an 1"? under my bars on my Husky TE510 to make it feel right. This bike is good.
Handling: This bike turns on a dime, goes where you point it. Tracks straight when hard on the gas. It's not as light as my trials but close...
Engine: Can you say Smoooth Nothing can beat the pull of a 300 from down low to ripping your arms off this thing is rock solid. Never missed a beat not once. I thought I stalled it a couple of times...just turn the throttle a bit more and away it went. Very impressed.
Did not notice any Vibrations high or low. Clutch worked flawless.
Well that's about all for now. Well besides my face is a bit sore from grinning all nite.
