flywheel weight

Hey all, im new here and am looking for a bit of info. I just picked up a 99 GG EC 250 (4speed) it seems like it will be a great woods machine. I was pondering a flywheel weight and wondering if anybody out there has had success with one on a GG. And if so what brand fww, what size/wgt they used and for what type of riding/terrain they used it for. Thanks for the input . CHAD

4 speed? really?

I ordered mine from Mark at GoFasters, although check depending on what ignition you have. My EC had larger flywheel (than a DE) & needed a mod to the weight to fit on. Was a 12oz but I lost 3 doing the mod.

A mate had a Stealthy one & spun right on which was about 12oz.

They are great help for not stalling or muddy uphill turns where you don't want to spin up so easily. My '02 200 didn't need one, but my '07 300 loves it.

Yes 4 speed ....I had not heard of that either. But the guys
Gofasters assured me that a 4spd(wide ratio) was available
As an option in 98/99/00. Who knew? Thanks for the fww
Info. This is my first (non trials GG, on my 3rd txt, just got a new
300 pro) gg. So forgive me for the
Onslaught of newb questions.... Chad

Its an MC(motocross) or an MC trans/motor. It should have a small flywheel 2K-2 or 2K-1(no lighting coil). The spin on weights from Gofasters that replace the flywheel nut work perfect. Get a 12oz.

yep, 9oz minimun at least - i run a 9oz and wish i had gone a little heavier..

Well you learn something new every day. My TXT Gaser brought me to buy a EC.

Sadly I might have to sell it, I really don't want to, but something has to take one for the team.
