fork seals keep blowing

Anyone had problems with a 2015 ec 300 blowing its fork seals? Left side went first after about 500k, right one next after another 100k and the right one has gone again after another 100k or so. I've replaced them with GG parts, forks are in very good condition with no nicks or pits in the chrome. Maybe there are some better quality aftermarket ones???

Make sure the axle is centered and not binding the forks when it compresses.

Also, I would use SKF seals vs OEM.

whats the quickest way to ensure the axel isnt binding? there might be something slightly out with the front end as it doesnt feel right when you turn in on the tarmac

If it doesn't feel right then you might want to reset the whole front end. Loosen the axle pinch bolts, axle bolt, and maybe even the triple clamp bolts. This will ensure the forks aren't twisted in the triples. Re-torque the triples to the spec. Then you want to tighten the axle bolt but leave the pinch bolts. Pump the fork a few times to let it center itself, then torque the pinch bolts.

There are a few ways to do it. A quick search brought up this...

That's about how I do it.

Fork alignment, bushing tolerances/wear.. Internal contamination.. External contamination. Certain types of mud/grit can work its way up and hold the seal open. Sometimes a seal doctor, fine playing card, or camera film can be used to resolve the issue.

I have found the neoprene seal savers to be worth their weight in gold. Especially if you are riding in sandy dirt or just plain sand. Also when your done washing your bike wipe the forks down with a slightly oily towel to remove the water spots and to put a slight film of oil on the legs.
