Front wheel question

Can an older front wheel from a WP fork (20mm axel) bike (pre '04) be used on a newer Zoke (25mm axel) ('04+) bike with a bearing/spacer/seal change? I know the hub part#s are different, but the bearings have the same ODs although a different width. I'm thinking perhaps the inner spacer tube is a different length as well. Maybe the hub includes this, hence the different part #. Any thoughts or experience? I could knock apart an older wheel myself and measure but would rather avoid it as its all good parts on another bike.

Hi Glenn,

Ping Roostafish (mike sheetz). He has a set of older u-rim wheels (2001) on his 2008 gasgas 250.

Thats exactly what I want to do, use the stronger "U" rims, already have a rear. Thanks Jeff.

Yes, for all interested in doing this. The older hubs are identical to the newest ones in dimension. Spacers, bearings, center tube are the only differences, so it's an easy swap.
