fww/ g2 throttle installed, clutch slips

just got back from the first ride. its different. it does loose a little snappiness. the g2 (tried the slowest cam first) glides good on the bar, fits well in the throttle housing. the 400 cam is too slow, ill switch it out next time i ride.
14oz weights might have been too much, 12 might have been better, but not bad. lots more bottom, but now the clutch slips quite a bit in higher gears. bike only has 30 gentle hours, should it slip at all?

i dont know, it was serviced by my local dealership the day i bought it. i can ask them, but i am not sure. they changed out everything. brake fluid/pads, tranny, rinsed out the tank/carb etc.
its nearing the time interval i was told to change it at, so i might as well do that now instead of asking. any oils better than any others for gassers?

it also is noisy. i thought it might be rubbing on the cover, but i took it off and looked, and theres no mark in the plastic
how do you tell when the clutch is adjusted right? i moved the lever in an inch or so, and now it seems to be on a little bit all the time, i adjusted both screws evenly(i hoped they would cancel each other out)

With that info, I bet the clutch lever is adjust incorrectly so the piston is not fully retracting. Double check the adjustment bolt to make sure you have free play in the clutch lever.

yep. did that, took it out on a 4 hour ride. works great. power valve seems to be making a flapping noise down low now, or im pinging. i run 91 octane.. g2 makes a big difference in tighter trails, no more flying off the handle!

The slapping/pinging noise could well be your chain guide. This is common at low rpm's on the GG's. I used to get this sound when short shifting and rolling on the throttle. Sounded like it was coming from the engine! I replaced mine with a TM Designworks after destroying the stocker. :D
