MC250 GG street legal mx-bike
Hey guys
This is Matt from GA. I talked to both of you at one time or another, Dad and Son, about your MC, and I went with the only other new '05 MC in the U.S. just because those guys had a cheap shipper($250). I was the guy that had got screwed on the brandnew KTM300 in TX, but live in GA.
I went ahead and street legalized my MC. Has Brembo headlight, LED tail/brake light and bracket I made out of a titanium tennis racket-also strengthens rear fender. I never rode the DE, but I believe I did the right thing with the heavy duty 50mm Marzocchis, and I found some cheap DOT approved duel sport tires that have big, stout knobs.
I'm really only half legal right now(not pulled over yet-welded on my FMF quiet "Q" silencer from my KTM 300xcw to draw away attn). I've got Title, tag, insurance, still running off-road knobs and I don't have turn signals, signal switch, flasher, regulator, rectifier, H/L switch.
I can run the headlight and tailght's(even LED's) on the 35w ac light coil, but my state requires blinkers, so I'm thinking 60w min. coil
You guys used to be dealers, do you have any of this electrical gear still around at a decent price. Gofasters has been treating me right, but I'll go with used if you've got it.
If I dig around, I can find the name of the $250 shipper, and if that helps you, I'll look. I can't believe someone hasn't snatched that MC250 of yours. With the new ones at like $7850, they imported no '06's, that's a steal, 'specially when you figure in that you can still put the '05s on the road and the '07's not legal. Not sure how KTM serial numbers are working this year, but after my '06 KTM experience, they can keep it.
