Join Us on April 27th thru the 29th for the Gas Gas Ride. This ride is open to all riders of all skill levels

The ride will start in Moab on April 27th. Be prepared for 3 days of riding and group camping on the Colorado River. Either one is enough to plan your yearly vacation for, let alone the two combined into the same weekend. If that’s not enough, Moab’s Classic Car Show falls on this same week end, so if you’re looking for a hotel room rather than camping, make Reservations early.

If you’d like to sign up, please Call Jim at 435 260-2724 or email DualSportutah@hotmail.com for more info

We’re really looking forward to seeing you all in Moab this April!

We’re also trying to get the word out for the 2012 Gas Gas Gathering in Moab this spring. We want to see how many of you are out there and can make it to Moab for the First Annual Gas Gas Moab Rally. The rally will include 2-3 days of world class riding around Moab and tons of more fun.

Show your support for Gas Gas and come ride Moab This Spring Email DualSportUtah@hotmail.com or Call Jim (435)260-2724 , so drop us a line and we’ll see if we can make this the biggest showing of Gas Gas Riders ever!!!

Cost will be $35 which will get you a collectable T-shirt and 1 BBQ Dinner, Camping will be at Kane Creek Camp Ground situated right on the Colorado river for only $5 Per Person per night.

This will event will offer some of the best rides in Moab. We’re talking 75-150+ mile a day - ARE YOU IN??

i cant seem to find this one and i would appreciate the helpthanks

Will anyone be there the week before? I'll be there the week before, but in Reno for the VCGP the week of the ride.

Gasgasguy: Utah has a reciprocal with some states for OHV stickers. AZ for sure, but CO is an exception.
A road plate will NOT suffice for an OHV sticker. There is a Forest Service office (might be BLM office) in Moab that will take $30 for a Utah OHV sticker good for a year.

Very important: In the last couple of years they changed the OHV rules. Used to be that you had to stay on "established" trails. Now you must stay on "designated" trails.
Here is a link with loads of info: http://www.discovermoab.com/atv.htm

Dreamer: Looks like there are several campgrounds out Kane Cr. Rd., but no Kane Cr. Campground per se. Here is a link: http://www.discovermoab.com/campgrounds_blm.htm

I'm trying to get a feel for who is planning on going to this ride.
So if you are going please reply with some info like what days you will be arriving, leaving, how many in your group, riding level, where you're staying and what you're riding
Thanks

I'll be there the week prior, and I'll stay over for the 1st couple of days of th ride week.
I'll likely have 1 more with me.
I'll be camping in a trailer.
Solid "B" riders.
I'm quite familiar with the White Wash, Soverign, Porcupine Rim and 10 mile Canyon areas.

I was just there the first of this past week and, as usual, it was EPIC!!!

Im a new first time gasgas owner. Just picked up a 2011 xc250 six days. I plan on being in moab the 25 to the 30 of april
Need to do some looking to see where you guys will be at but I will be in the white wash area. Second time there so im still learning where everthing is at. If that is somewhat close or part of your ride i would like to meet up with some other gasgas owners.

Up the creek without a paddle.

This is footage from the first Moab, Utah Gas Gas ride. Leading the group was Jim from dualsportutah.com. We had cut off from the main group to ride a technical portion of Kane Creek. This was a Kane creek fail.

Hope everyone had a fantastic and safe weekend in Moab. I was there the week before: Rode Soverign, 10 Mile Wash area, and Porcupine ridge. I wish I could have stayed for the Gasser Group Ride, but I was racing the Virginia City Grand Prix in Nevada this past weekend.

sure had a amazing time riding with our group at moab. was shocked at how few of our fellow gasgas riders didn't show up, you missed a ride of a lifetime. I've rode many places all over the west but never in utah before. learned a lot about riding in rocks, did a fair bit of climbing up ledges and back off again, creek riding, slick rock steeps, nicely flowing trail through the beautiful desert with a well matched group of riders. more of you need to plan on being there for next years ride! Thanks to Jim and Randy for leading us to so many cool places. Bruce

Thank You All

Jim

Thanks for hosting the ride, even though I couldn't make it.

I know that everyone's personal calendar can't be accommodated, but the Virginia City Grand Prix is always the last weekend in April.
I'm always in Moab the week before I head to Virginia City, NV for the race...
Hope to be able to join in next year!
