Gas gas move to wp suspension ?

By the way, do you guys know that WP means white power....

In a slang sort of way that's true, but the WP refers to the founder's initials. "White Power" came about when WP had all of their springs powder coated white by a local appliance manufacturer.

Not in a slang way - it is true - the company had it trademarked and used both "White Power" and "WP" in the 1980s... Proof is here :

...it was on boxes, decals, manuals - the whole nine yards...

They were sold with that name in the early to mid 80s - I bought a set of White Power 4054s and a WP rear shock for an XR in 1988 and they came with a white power manual. It may have something to do with White Brothers being the U.S. Distributor for WP at the time - or it may be that those crazy dutchmen knew nothing of the KKK in the U.S. :-)

The founders name is Wim Peters, but the name came from the white springs they used for their shocks and springs. Here in Europe white power has nothing to do with the KKK, groups like them have different names.....
When KTM bought the company, they changed the logo from white power to WP, maybe to have better chances on the U.S. Market.

If I remember correctly, his powder coating guy also did the hospital beds , that's why the white .
