Gas Gas with different name.

Why the long face? I dont think it's its all that much different than a de model gasser I guess if I commited to buy and distribute fifty of them, and auto manufacturers do it all the time I could call it whatever I like. Widebear 250 has a nice ring to it.

im anti platform sharing, i agree with the frownie.
idea sharing, yes, but not physical parts.
if you want a yami motor in your gasser, you go right ahead and buy two bikes and make a frankenstein.
i understand that we gassers have the advantage in handling, and yami has been cranking out 250 4t for a long time, but if its not ALL gasser, its not really gasser is it...
and then putting a 3rd, different name on it is just plain silly. it sounds like a utility 4x4 anyway thats my 2 cents (cant even buy a penny candy with that anymore lol)

RIEJU makes the 125 Pampera, I assume?

So I assume from the description Reiju is a Spanish company? Thats better than GasGas rebadging/selling a Chineese POS, at least they have a hand in the mfg. I guess we will see how close it is to the GasGas EC250F when it comes out.

History of Gas Gas:
Original enduro bikes were rebadged Husqvarnas, nothing Gas Gas about them but the name..... Then a chassis, with a TM engine, then what we have today. I think it's all part of growing a small company. Use what you know works, get it out there, then develop something better. I'm all for the continuation of this process. I still hate four strokes though, so, I wouldn't buy one anyway.

Man I am tired of hearing crap being talked about the new EC250F. Its a sick bike. You have a small bike and an awsome engine. I am going to buy one. 250F is just the best off road size for me and it being in a gasgas chassi is the perfect choice. Who cares its a Yamaha engine. The FSR is a DRZ. The Yamaha is the most reiable engine out there for a 250F.

Gasgas will stand up on their own soon enough but why make a flop of a 250F when you could have a much better bike?

I agree. Not the best bike for all conditions, but a 250F is very easy to ride quick with just the right amount of power for the woods. I'd like one as well, but I doubt that will happen.

GasGas has a history of working with other small companies in the same region,, as reffered to in an earlier post, TM, Husky, to name a few. They "traded" parts with these companies,, some parts on TM's were made in the GG factory and the GG engine at the time was built in the TM plant,, Whatever brings a better bike to the market without a marketing blunder like cannondale.. which big mistake was to test its bike in public..

?

Can you explain exactly why  Ever ridden a DRZ/FSE 450 back to back. I have....I'll have my Gasser thanks :)

The FSR engine is very similar to a DRZ, at least the top end is. Only the FSR has fuel injection.

Agreed, but performance wise is totally different, engine/chasis. Not starting an arguement but if the two bikes are so similar I wish I had of pocketed my cash. IMHO comparing the two is ridiculous. Please prove me wrong, otherwise a WRF450 will be a certainty  I honestly believe the Gasser 450 is an great bike like most others in the same engine capacity and performance range. How many people could honestly ride it to it's full capacity, same as a 300 2t on the pipe  DRZ is a great bike but a whole different game

It took awhile but the FSR is now rated among the top of the 450 4-stroke woods bikes.

Arrogance killed Cannondale Motorsports. They thought they knew it all. If they played it conservative like GasGas, starting with what they did best (the frame), they might be here today. Actuallly my bike wasn't that bad from a reliability standpoint, the '03s were worse when they cut corners with a cheaper crank vendor. They had absolutely no idea what a true woods bike was however.

GasGas continues to make the right decisions as a small mfg. company. Incremental upgrades on a proven platform, using local suppliers to minimize capital investment in tooling but retain control. Very conservative which is good for survival today. Some people complain there are no major innovative changes year to year like KTM, well KTM had to make leaps in hopes of making their chassis work.

I was refering that the FSR line-up started out as a DRZ engine. It still is on the top end. It has a much better chassi just like the new EC250F. Just because its no its won engine does not make it any lesser of a bike. If you need quality using the help of another company dosent make it a weak bike. Just like the 450 its going to take a while for Gasgas to get the 250F where they make it more so their own.
