Its a part of the stock 125 engine, I think its a retainer for the centrifigal balls that actuate the PV.
Nothing to do with bigger crank bearings.

could you enlighten any more "secrets" to building a big bore 125 gasser?
didn't find very specific info on that other topic on the 144/152 gasser.
i guess no one ever attempted to do this yourself? (be it not to that extent as was done before to achieve that magnificent 144/152)

Check out http://www.maxrpms.net/shop/index.php/ my neighbor had a YZ144 from them and it ran with 250Fs easily. Don't see anything for gassers yet. I did notice they will only go so far with the bore and then they get into the stroke.
