Looking for some Help

I'am rebuilding my 2001 EC250 as it had a water leak.

I bought a full gasket set for my specific model

when i received the gasket set, I noticed that in the kit I have 2 Crankcase gaskets (only 1 needed), 2 Clutch Case Gaskets (only one needed), 2 Clutch Cover gaskets (only one needed), and the same for a few others.

Has anyone seen this before in a gasket set???

:?:

The only thing i did notice, is that the gasket kit is for an EC200, EC250 and EC300.

Any help would be appreciated?

Scott

I believe the 200 has a different bottom end. The 300 takes bigger o-rings for head gaskets. They sell it as a whole kit cause most of the gaskets and seals are the same, but some are different as u noticed.

I agree the center case gasket for the 200 is different than the 250/300. I am not sure why you received to clutch case gaskets, but you can send it to me if you don't want it. ;-)

Ok thanks,

Didn't think they would send extras free of charge! Ha

First time to ever split the cases so it's been a bit of a learning curve!

Take your time and lots of photos as you go. Make sure everything is clean before you put it back together. The bearings come out pretty easy if you heat the cases around the bearing to about 150F with a propane torch.

Cheers, that's what I've been doing, my phone is full of photos!! Ha

Had a little leak in crankcase gasket, so decided to do mains bearings seals etc while I had it apart!

Any idea how many gaskets suppose to be between reed block and cylinder, there's 2 in my gasket set, but not sure how many came off

You will probably one unless you have the reed block spacer and then you would put one on each side of the spacer.
