Hi,

i have

gg 250 ec 2003

aftermarket pw cower
flywheel weight
dual map cdi from 2007
fmf gnarly pipe
squish 1.1-1.2mm
compresion ratio 12.5
cylinder from 2013
riding about 200-300 meters from sea
Temperature today was 10-14Celsius
I mix 1:32 full syntetic
reeds are new vforce3
slide 6#

needle NEDF 2#
pilot 40
main 178

Its my first 2 stroke enduro, comparing to my friends gg300 2007 its a little bit thirsty and not so response from throttle.
We had 3-4 hour slow riding and mine eated 1 liter more.

I will change the pilot to 42#, it was better on idle.
What to do with main and clip position on needle.
I want it to be more responsible.
How lean i can go on main not damaging engine?

Played today half day with settings.
Ended with:
172 main
38 pilot
1# needle
1.25 pilot screw

Now it goes smooth until half rews and then has small kick.

How to recognize that mixture is lean, that symphtoms lean mixture has?

Lean will feel flat and lack balls. The harder you ride and the hotter the engine gets the weaker it will feel.

When you roll the throttle back it will surge or try to run on before slowing its revs. When you stop the idle will hang and race. You may find the bike running hotter and blowing coolant.

When you whack the throttle open, instead of pulling the engine will hesitate and gasp before revving. If it's super lean it will gasp and stall down until you close the throttle. Booo-waaah kind of sound.
