My local shop has a ton of Dunlop MX51,71, 31 when it is all said and done it comes out to about the same if not more than the Golden Tyre price.

They don't really carry any other brands, a very few Maxxis and Bridgestones, but no Michelin

I need a new rear after the Shasta National, so I thought I'd try something different.

I could drive up to Cycle Gear in Sacto, but time and gas added in comes out to about the same...so we'll see!

Seems like a strange thing to say??

The GT tyres are about 80NZD here here in kiwiland, must be the only thing thats cheaper here than in the states, well those and kiwifruit.
 
I have been in touch with the distributor and will narrow down a compound that will work for my terrain.
