Gotland Grand National 2024

On Friday, I raced what they call the largest enduro race in the world, the Gotland Grand National. I think this was my 12th time doing that race. They state they have 3000 participants over 3 days. Day one (Thursday) is for MTB and eMTB. Day two (Friday) is for amateurs, including classes for ages 50-59 and above 60 (my class). Saturday is the big day with more (younger) amateurs and the different expert classes.

As this is quite far away from my home, it involves a total of 15 hours in the van, 6 hours on a ferry and 3 nights in a hotel to do the three-hour race.

I ended up as number 133 out of 178 in my class. This is quite similar to previous races, I usually end up pretty far down in the results. But it is great fun and I have already regitered for next year's event :)

I have no race photos, but here is an image from after the finish, taken by a bypasser in the paddoc.
