Graphics 12' vs. 13'?

I have noticed in some recent pics. That some of the new bikes have EC and some have XC is this something that the factory randomly sent out on different bikes?

Both of my bikes 2012's are ec's but I have the xc sticker kits that were given to me by the dealers. Ec's are the euro version- xc are what we get in the states.
