Hi everyone.
Thanks for adding me to the forum.
I’m a soon to be Classic GasGas owner having agreed to buy a 2006 Pampera 400 from a mate.
It’s a bit of a project although apparently it runs ok, just needs a few bits and pieces sorted and a tidy up.
I have a little bit of history with the bike as I encouraged the current owner to buy it as I wasn’t in a position to at the time.
He’s since lost interest and needs the money so it’s my turn now :D
I currently own a KTM 640 adventure and am looking for something smaller and lighter to improve my off road ability on so hopefully this’ll do the job.
I also own a Laverda 668 sport so I’m no stranger to oddball orphan bikes that are hard to find parts for.

I’m looking forward to getting my hands on this thing and having a play. Hopefully I won’t need too much support from the forum but it’s good to know it’s there.

Cheers.
Paul.

So I took delivery of the Pampera yesterday and spent the day in the shed today working on it.
It has a few issues to sort.
The rear brake is non existent, I’ve bled it and managed to get some feel in to it but it’s still next to useless.
I’ve taken a punt and ordered some AllBalls rebuild kits for the master cylinder and calliper so we’ll see how that goes. Next step will be pads and a disc.
The front wheel seems to be out of alignment as well. The usual “loosen everything off and give the bars a yank while holding the wheel in my knees” hasn’t worked so I’m guessing I’ll have to pull the front end apart and see if anything is bent.
I also need to sort out the idle as it currently sits around 2000rpm.
I’m thinking there also may be a little cam chain slap but I’m not 100% on that.
I’ve taken it for a couple of short rides and it goes well all things considered.
I’m looking forward to getting it sorted out so I can do some decent rides on it.
