Ive been sitting at a computer for 5 days now taking the osha30 safety course so im bored to say the least, throwing a topic out there. just curious who on here is a larger rider??? i weighted myself the other day and im 282 in street cloths. i race enduros and my 300 is without a doubt the best enduro bike ive ever had. i liked my 450s but the weight difference and ease of maintenance is awesome, plus i detuned those with a Q muffler and rekluse to make them work. i do miss the traction of a four stroke at times but i carry alot more momentum everywhere on the two stroke.

I am down to 210 finally, but was up to 242 at the beginning of the year. I'm 6'2" with a 36"inseam. I put a tall seat on my 250 XC and taller bars and love it. I like really tall, soft, wide seats and tall bars with a flat bend. I like my 250 2t because it weighs a bit more than most 2ts and it isn't too skinny for me to grip with my legs. I don't feel comfortable on any bike that weighs less than about 230 lbs and is too skinny, like a KTM 200. If I had a KTM 200 I would put every guard available on it and a wider seat and gas tank to make it feel bigger and more stable with the added weight, and of course a taller seat. I do like the more adjustable bars and clamps on KTMs. A KTM 200 with a stock skinny tank and seat feels like I'm on a mini bike!

I think my 01 GG weighs about 240 dry? I have owned alot of bikes and always hated any bike that was so light it danced around on loose rocks, which is what I ride on alot. My GG is still nimble but tracks straight almost all of the time and feels stable. The extra weight is not enough to wear me out faster but is enough to give me confidence to ride hard in almost any conditions.
