I am Lawrence from Australia and run the prestigious) ) establishment 2T Inst. Where I makes pipes and machine stuff for engines ranging from chainsaws to Kawasaki triple 750's.
I am seeking some info on the 250/300 EC and trials engines. I don't know if anyone is aware that the 250 is used VERY successfully in kart racing, where the 250 EC is crank and cylinder are swapped for a short stroke big bore to allow them to rev to 10,500 all year long.
I am looking at maybe doing the same thing with the 300 trials engine(I'll get to the gearbox later), problem is I don't have access to an engine.
I understand the trials bikes have 6 speeds but only use 4 is that correct? Can the 6 speed from the EC engine be fitted to the trials engine?
My overall aim is to throw a 250/300 engines into road bike frames or convert a 300 like what ROLAND SANDS does with those 450F $hitters
cheers
