This is my first post so I would like to say Hello first, I just bought a 2003 EC250 and I love the bike. It's a major step up from the 1997 RM 250 I owned prev. To get it ready for this weekends race I would like to repack the silencer. I have done this before on other bikes, but the silencer which is an FMF (don't know what model/any help?)has rivets. Do I drill out all five rivets or just the three on the tip? Will the outer piece of the silencer need to be tapped off with a rubber mallet? Should I replace the rivets with stainless or aluminum or will reg steel work. will 3/16th rivits work? Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It should be a Turbine Core 2. There should be screws on the end towards the stinger.

thanks for the help. I was not hitting the bracket hard enough. It came off when I gave it a harder hit. As for the silencer tip, it looks like there is a little bit of packing material left in the there after removing the baffle. Is this ok or should I try to remove it? Do you try to clean out the tip,or just leave it alone?
