I never really liked the idea of long range tanks. I love the small feeling of MX bike fuel tanks. But I had to fit up a Clarke tank for a desert trip last month. When the trip was cancelled due to floods here in Australia, I left it on my EC300.
To my surprise I really like the way it feels when seated. I can't explain why, but when sitting forward it makes me feel confident. The higher top of the tank/fuel cap doesn't get in the way even as a run a toolbag/fanny pack facing forward. The shrouds flair out a little but have not been able to catch them on anything yet, so I am going to leave it on for a bit longer. I even used it at an Extreme Sprint the other day.
