I need a frame

I need to replace the frame on my 03 300DE. I ripped the left foot peg off tearing the outer wall of the box section frame. Let me know whats out there or if I should part it out.

Can you bring it to a good metal/machine shop and have it fixed?

No you don't. That's good CroMo steel and can be welded no problem. What I would try is to get a set of bolt on peg mounts for an alloy frame YZ and have them welded on. YZ/GG pegs are the same. Seek out a good welder, you shouldn't have to pull anything apart.

I had the foot peg bracket re-welded once before on both sides. This time it actually tore the outer wall of the box section away. We're talking a hole the size of a monopoly money dollar. I'll take it by a welder but I think I'd rather just move everything onto a new frame. Thanks for the replies!

A good fabrication man can fix it. I guess your really rough on pegs, ride rocks right? What about using the YZ mounts as described, but fabricating mounting plates with inserts that can be welded into the frame. Do it in a way that the weak link is the bolt, not the weld or frame. By any chance do you run Fastway or IMS pegs? I went back to stock for that reason, I know they bend without breaking the mounts, at least they have for me. The mounts will always loose against a Fastway.
