The year was winding down and though the 300 was a little down in power, and thought...maybe I put a piston and rings in it this off season.

Fouled a plug on the last ride and swapped it out today before riding. It was corroded and nasty. The bike still has plenty of power now...guess I can get that smart carb now ;>)

Haven't seen a plug make THAT much difference. Haven't had good luck with those iridium plugs. Think I will swap back to the NGK...certainly cheaper.

I don't know if its right or not, but in theory the small tip on the iridium plugs means less surface area for spark, which would mean more chance of fouling?

I've just run the BR8ES plugs. Yet to foul one and at $5 a piece I couldn't care less if I did. Couldn't notice any difference in performance between the BR8ES and the more expensive BR8EG either. Must admit I haven't used a BR8EIX though.
