What YZ needle did you install - a JD or a factory part? Were you trying to address a certain issue or is this a preemptive strike?

I installed a Yamaha Factory part (N3EJ) needle.

I have a great friend and sponsor Les of LTR that has connections around the globe. He said that this is the one to get for the new airstriker 2 carb with the # 7 or # 6.5 notched slide.

Let me tell you it is responsive. I will know more after this weekends testing, but from around my house it feels right on.

So to answer your question it was a preemptive strike with a secret weapon.
