JD Jetting Kit

Guys,

I have 2009 EC300 that runs sweet. Got the JD Jetting kit sitting in my garage and I am in two minds if I should install it or not  .Thought being that I don't want to stuff up the current good setup. Any suggestions or am I just being paranoid.

I installed a JD kit on my old CRF450X, and it made a hell of a difference for the better, but not so sure about the two stroke GG.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Worst case scenario is it will run worse, then you take it out and put the stock jetting back in.
Best case scenario is it runs heaps better.
Never hurts to tinker with stuff

Cheers Noobi - fitted it tonight and she starts and idles fine. Will see how its goes Sunday and the Muriwai / Woodhill Trial Ride. Pretty sure I saw you at Sandpit on last Sunday??

EtienneNZ,watching with interest .Let us know how it went.I guy brought my 2002 300 & put a JD kit in,it was a transformed bike, absolute rocket!I'm happy with my jetting but it is a cheaper performance mod.

Did he have his digger & dump truck?

Yea, I didnt put 2 and 2 together on the day, new GG and a SA accent..
Hope you had a good day, it was mine and my dads first ride since breaking ourselves, him 6 months off, me 3 months off.
I will either be at the muriwai ride, or at the tar hill enduro, weather dependent.

fwiw, I went richer on my 200s needle ( it ran really well before the change) and found a whole new level of torque, it pulls from idle cleanly, in 3rd. So I think getting the jetting spot on, with any bike, will make it a whole other animal.

The JD kit (needle really) works fantastic in at least the GG 250s. Lugs, screams, and idles leaned on a tree while I help my kids, couldn't ask for a better jetted bike. I would buy this as a standard prep accessory for a new bike like handguards and a skid plate.

Will be there (Muriwai)myself , unless it totally hoses down. Forecast doesn't look good. How about a PM on saturday evening - include Noobi - to see what he's decided. Would be nice to meet up.

Hey noobs - I'm gutted you didn't rave about the newly set up forks!

Hi,

Blue JD needle on 3rd clip (middle). Main Jet 182. Air Screw 1.5 Turns out. Not sure about pilot, it is still stock (did not open carb bowl). Riding mostly at Sea Level.

Cheers
