Linkage bearings!!!

Long shot but does anyone know whether the rocker arm bearings and the dog bone bearings are the same size? I've taken mine down for a re-grease and they're shot to shit. All the bushings look good but the cases and needles are dead. I'm guessing i can source these bearing fairly easily from a bearing shop along with the seals?

The parts fiche do not give bearing dimensions. I think the rocker and dog bone bearings are the same size

I will check the All Balls linkage bearing kit I have when I get home tonight. I will verify that they are the same size, and see if I can confirm dimensions for you.

I really hate using All Balls bearing kits as I think that they are cheap Chinese bearings, but I do not think that Pivot Works makes kits for the 2018+ models. It would be good to know if we can source a well made Japanese or German bearing for the linkage.

Yeah they're the same size.

Remember what swingarm were mate?
I think they are all the same except the lower shock bearing

Anyone considered making bushes out of vesconite to do away with this issue?
I fitted the synergyseals teflon coated bushes on mine and they lasted forever, but i suspect they had a bit higher friction, I also mostly rode dry weather. Vesconite should be more slippery - there are some good videos of it being used on dakar car suspension bushes

Got my old bearings out last night. I'm doing a run to the shop today, I'll make a parts list including seals when I'm done. Might make a good sticky?

Well I had a disappointing interaction with the local bearing house. I walked in with the bearing code and samples of an undamaged bearing and seal, all I got was slack jaws and erroneous questions. They have the samples I left them with but no call back. I actually specced them online, took all of 15 minutes and I'm a carpenter!
Hopefully I'll find out by tomorrow, otherwise I'm going online...

Oh man, that's when you talk to specialists. Should I come to my garage this week I will take a bearing and a seal and visit the local SKF dealer. I know I can get everything there except the bushings. It seems no one can supply those. They are the problem as they are made from soft non-hardened steel...

Was at the local bearing shop today. Man what a bunch of unmotivated, laszy bastards.

Will try another shop which is 30mls away in the next few days.

Update:
Bearings that were ordered were wrong (they got a HK2016 instead of a HN2016), seals were also wrong. I returned them and was told “they must be a Gasgas OEM part” which surely can't be true.
Anyway, I have the bearing code HN2016, does appear on SKFs catalog so I'll be ringing my nearest SKF dealer tomorrow. The seals I have a good lead on also (buddy of mine is a product engineer, does this stuff all day long).

Cliff notes;
Don't value your local bearing guy unless you're 100% sure he knows his stuff because to me it seems like they gave up 5 minutes into searching and even with a sample in hand tried to sell me a different bearing.

Further update:
HN2016s do exist but are a protected product for some reason, SKF guy can't order them.

Koyo make them but the only place I could find that stocked them wanted 20 euros each!
I did find seals by Chicago Rawhide (now SKF) but since I couldn't get the bearings haven't bothered chasing them up.
I've just ordered Gasgas OEM kit for both rocker and dogbone. $200aud delivered.

I TRIED!

Same here, HN2016 are not available from SKF, the price is 16 Euros though.

Was at three shops now. The bearings can be ordered from Koyo, also 17 bucks per piece.
One of the biggest bearin companies, Nadella has them and they are called DL2016. Something around 14 Euros per unit.

I could also order the seals via SKF but not with a metal outer ring, just plastic but I guess it would not make a difference.

I will stay with AllBalls as I am not going to spend 170 bucks for 10 bearings and 8 Euros for a friggin' seal.
