Anyone want to meet up to ride some single track in MI this weekend? I was thinking about Long Lake Trail and possibly Missaukee Junction, but I'm open.

I'd be willing to meet at the trail head or could offer you a ride from the west side of the state.

PM me if interested.

My buddy was able to go so we did ride Long Lake trail. If anyone is headed to Long Lake or Missaukee Junction, the state is working on old US131 between Cadillac and Manton making it a little challenging to get to those trail systems. We ended up parking on a dead end dirt road at the north end of the loop rather than at the trail head.

Good that you had a buddy to ride with.

I've got riding friends in Ohio that ride the trails around Lewiston Mi every Halloween weekend. I've made the trip three times, I think. Gets a little cold and /or wet once in a while, but it's always a fun weekend.

In '15, I rode my 200 GG and my grandson rode my 450 EXC. We both had a great time. He fit right in with us old guys. He posted a pic of him along with the EXC and me & 4 of my friends on FB with the caption "Spent the weekend getting my butt kicked by a bunch of 70 yr old guys". It was the other way 'round, truth be told.

The Michigan trail system is pretty amazing.

Don't hold it against me, but I defected. I went and bought a 2017 Sherco 300 SER, and now I want to get some more seat time. I'm still looking for riding partners, but now I would like to plan 2 to 3 day trips over weekends to knock out some sections of MCCCT that I have yet to ride, specifically from Fife Lake to Indian River, and Indian River back down to Gladwin. I like to do about 120-140 miles a day (with gas and food stops), either 60-70 out and back, or if it is possible to stage vehicles at both ends, all in one direction.

I'm 45 years old and have been riding since I was 15. I like to ride at a fun but safe speed. I carry a good assortment of tools, a tube, and have my bike street legal and set up with a USB charger to use GPS (on my phone). I've ridden alone a few times, but it's safer and more fun to ride with at least one other person.

If anyone is interested, send me a PM
