Corsa - I highly recommend changing the GasGas stock kickstarter out for the Yamaha YZ version. One of the best upgrades you can make out of the gate.
You can search this forum for the various woes folks have had with the stock lever.

Just a bad design. The YZ lever is much better - I bought an '03 YZ250 lever and it fit right on.
