Lord Of The Graphics - A 4hr ordeal that gets you nowhere

Hey Guys,

Relatively new to the GasGas world, although already stripping two EC's down, and spending allot of time with KTMs, i've got allot of time for the GGs.

Only thing that continues to get me down on my SM project is the quest for custom graphics.

So far my only route, is a limited number of companies who want my plastics to take measurements and create a template.

Is it possible or am i 'pissing in the wind', to get a hold of template sets? I would have thought older versions 2000+ would be dotted around google etc?

Any advice or comments if you've done this before would be greatly appreciated.

I should mention the SM project is a 2001 EC300, and im UK based, although father bear lives in NY, so U.S. products are still attainable...

I saved the graphics off of my 2001 xc300.
I can think of a few ways to get you a copy for a template, if that helps.
I could trace out a hard copy and mail it.
Or I could try some digital methods.
I could even lend them to you if you promise to get them back to me.

saves everything, small clutter problem.

There was a guy advertising on craigslist -Boston
Something about gasgas graphics -templates ???
I checked today couldnt find it maybe post expired but ive seen it a few times
might want to keep an eye out there

Thanks Stoby,

Ill hit up a post search and try and find that!

Motogroove. I like your thinking. Are you UK based?

You could try tracing out a hard copy, as that is what i would be doing if you sent me the graphics.

Thing is i have a friend in the Kart graphics design industry. (very talented). Only problem for me is he obviously doesn't stock bike templates...

Literally, if i could get a hold of accurate templates, he'd design and print me off whatever i asked for. AND, i don't see why i couldn't get some spares sets printed off and send you over some for the cheap?

Thanks

I am in Connecticut, USA.
Happy to trace you out a copy and mail it over. I call myself an artist and make my living with tools and materials, so I'll do a good job.
Shoot me a PM with your mailing address.
The idea of getting some spares sounds good.

Speaking of Connecticut, here's CT hero Doug Henry at Southwick, turn one, back when it ran counterclockwise. 36x48 acrylic and oil on canvas

Thanks Dean.

PMd

No problem. These are the pieces that I have:
Radiator shrouds
Headlight number plate
and the little tidbit from the airbox door.

Number plates were bare from the factory, as were the fork guards. I could whip up a pattern for those, but so could you or your friend.

Rear fender... I have one around here somewhere... not sure if it has graphics or not. Sorta been through a few rear fenders on my 300. :D If it has graphics, I'll trace those also.

Anyway, I traced out the outline and cutouts only. I didn't try to copy the text, etc. I'll get them out in today's mail or Monday latest.

going to the track solo today. My buddies are going to a SX style thing that does not look fun to me. Bad dirt/air ratio.

Sweet as a nut Dean.

As for the headlight number plate and fork guards, just template those up. Im sure my mate can whip up a pattern for those. As for the mud guard, if you can find an intact one :D do that too... haha.

Outlines and cutouts spot on... getting excited now.

Ill let you know when i receive the templates, and ill start pinging you through the designs that my mate is coming up with. Do you wanna PM me your personal email for that?
I've been looking around for patterns that i like, the new 2012 six days graphics look sweet as (whadyou recon on a 2001? :p)
