And they have the bushing material. the ones that I got a long time ago on my first GG were all aluminum, no bushing material. This are sweet looking. Now I have had them sitting in the drawer for a couple of months. Now that I have the sling off it is time to get them put on.
Will these fit 2000 model EC300?
How much will they lower the rear?
You do take paypal right?
Being mildly vertical challenged about 5'9" these would help.
Bad choice of words, mine have a brass liner around the hole then or insert or no i stand corrected:
bush?ing/Noun
1. A metal lining for a round hole enclosing a revolving shaft.
2. More generally, a bearing for a revolving shaft
I talked to Les way long ago when he made up his dogbones. He used a higher quality aluminum alloy than others typically use and then as a final step the holes were work hardened so that a bushing wasn't needed.
The alternative is to use a lower quality aluminum and insert a bushing...
Two ways to skin a cat - no difference in terms of durability - it is "strong enough" in both cases.
And I think the links will lower by 3/4 of an inch or so. They increase the leverage on the spring - so your effective spring rate is slightly decreased as well.
Those look like the old style GG OEM links that came on the '97 and '98 bikes, but they were 123s, they did not make 124s. I have a set of these 123s lying around. They could also be someone else's knock off, Checkpoint maybe?
Shoot, you may be right about them being Checkpoint! I got them before the shoulder work, been a lot of drugs through the brain... well that and I am just getting old
