Trying out this chain guide from GasGas. It is suppose to come off a Motard version. Will keep you informed about how good it goes and service life.

Yes I do.
The small bolts can be used from current chain railer and all you need to do is buy a couple of allen key bolts to bolt to swing arm.

Here's the Part Numbers.
BC250212028 - cross chain guide

BC250221018 - cross chain guide support

BC250412032 - chain guide plate

Thats also the mc chain guide . I have not had good success with them as the plastic part seems to break very easyl'y, could have something to do with the cooler climate up here

I have since found out it is the MX chain guide. Down here in Australia the guide seems to be quite soft. We don't have really cold weather.

Hi, I'm just north of you. It looks like that guide would fit my 03 EC 250, how much did it cost you in OZ dollars? Is it quieter than the original?

If you want something that is quiet running, you might want to consider the LTR chain guide setup - it is actually a bracket that allows you to use a heavy duty honda XR chain guide. The XR guide uses a hard slippery rubber for the "slider part" that cushions the chain and reduces chain slap/noise.

For what it's worth - I don't like aluminum wrapped chain guides - they bend when they take a hit - an all plastic guide bounces back into position.

I have taken the guide off as it wears a little on the side, (uneven).
Will look at modding it or getting an LTR one sometime.
