I am not sure this is a realistic expectation at this point. I know if you are ordering KTM parts this is possible. If you are supporting your local dealer network, not even possible with KTM...Boutique brands like Gas Gas, Sherco, Beta, TM? I doubt anyone that people that buy these bikes are going to have that luxury. There are going to be some compromises when buying these bikes. Luckily with Gas Gas there is a lot of cross over on parts, between brands and model years. Just my 2 cents...
Why wouldn't it be a realistic expectation ? It's 2016, you can get an online shop up and running in a couple of hours witch can also double as the dealer's current stock management.

p.s. I'm a web developer, if you know anybody who would like such an option (GasGas related) I'll be more than happy to help out free of charge.

I have a 100% success rate with Halls responding my e-mail parts request. Within 24hrs, I have prices on what I requested. Then I call and give them my credit card #.

If I furnish the part #s, the response is even quicker.

After they charged me 18$ a piece for friction discs for my clutch I doubt I will ever go back there.

If anyone at gas gas is listening the main reason people do not buy gas gas is because its a pain in the ass to get parts, KTM are so easy to buy parts for that's why everyone loves them.

Seems beta Australia is and has been offering online sales for some time. Check out out.

Gas Gas Australia have been selling parts on their website for the last month or two. I think that you order the parts online and they are delivered through your local dealer but I haven't tried it out yet. I did just order a part directly from my local dealer and the same part that was available on the GG Australia website seems to be sold out now so I'm assuming that is where my local dealer sourced it from. I will have to ask my local dealer how it all works and whether it is a good thing for them.

I do my own work and enjoy it so I just need to be able to get parts. I used to buy all my parts from GoFasters until that option was cancelled. I?ve been to my local dealer and while they are nice people they have no parts in stock for my older GasGas bikes (large KTM inventory though).

With Motocross center on-line I could see prices, pictures of what the parts are, see if it was in stock , order at my convenience in the evening after work and have it delivered to my home. They also have a large selection of low cost plastic options for older EC bikes so I could keep it looking nice without spending a ton on a $2000 bike.

This USA method seems like going backwards in time.

My sentiments exactly. Good to know about your local dealer, being that they are also my closest dealer at over 200 miles away. I've heard great things about their shop from as far as all their other lines are concerned, but nothing about GG.

Apparently Torrot/GGNA headquarters is in San Clemente which is almost exactly the same distance from me in the opposite direction, but if I'm understanding correctly, that is just offices and not (nor planned to be) a parts distribution source.

With a 6 month old at home, I don't have a lot of time for shenanigans. Calling around for parts or emailing is too much bother these days. I need to be able to click around a few times (more than likely at hours where a dealer is closed) add them to my cart and have them show up at my house. Expecting a dealer to survive off selling parts to local people is lunacy, those are the old days. Dealers will survive by providing services that you can't have UPS'd to your house.

Looks like I will ride my other bike, until we come out of the stone age here in the US. If it doesn't happen I'll just have to dump the bike and move on.

I just placed an order @ 4:46 pm eastern time. I have a confirmation # From MCC . let's see what happens.

I've tried the gasgas one. It does not work. I got an email from gasgas Australia telling me to place my order through my local dealer. I don't know if they have any intention of getting it working so we can use it..

I find this discussion to be disturbing. I posted pics of my 03 EC300 that I recently rebuilt and during that process I did not find the need to order any OEM GG parts from a dealer! One of the things that attracted me to GG was the parts crossover from other makes thus nearly eliminating a dependency on a company , who at that time , had an uncertain future. While I agree that it is nice to have the ability to search and click at all hours of the day we must remember that Terrot has made a large investment in this resurrecting this company and thus has a right to choose a business model in which to attract and retain a dealer network. If the importer and dealer are removed from the parts distribution network ,as what appears to have taken place with Motocross Center , then there's reason for failure to take place within the organization once again! This, on a smaller scale, resembles past occurrences of importers bypassing the dealers by selling direct to the riders at a lower than retail price, great for the buyer and seller but not good for the long term success of GG or their dealer network. Yes we all like the idea of removing the middleman in order to obtain better service and pricing ,but you must ask yourself , what could be the long term effects of that system. Face it guys, most of the parts that we need are wear items, tires, brake pads, chains , sprockets , etc., all of these items are likely to be replaced with aftermarket parts which are available anywhere on the web with a simple click, this discussion exists only due to a limited need of rarely required parts.
In summary, we should all remain silent and allow the powers that be within Terrot to guide their new business as they best see fit.

We have a winner! Brian gets it!

It seems GGNA keeps doing the same things - or more correctly, failing in the execution of the same flawed model - seems like this is bound to fail. Throw in a warmed over 2015 model with tacky graphics and questionable forks as your re-introduction to the market ... good luck Torrot. I had high hopes for the re-emergence of the brand. Maybe by 2018 we'll see some real change.

And to the guy claiming:

"In summary, we should all remain silent and allow the powers that be within Terrot to guide their new business as they best see fit."

I'm speechless! Are you in any way familiar with supply and demand economics? Customers are to remain silent? Where are you from? A Soviet era gulag? Wow!

Let the hating begin ... the forum has been pretty flaccid for a while, I think it could use the boost!

Cheers,

Jason

Wow some were beating a dying horse during the dark days but now we have those you are trying to beat a newly awakened horse before he can reproduce!
I guess that there are haters that can't accept the idea of the horse coming alive and overshadowing their unicorn.

I seem to remember being able to order online from trialendurodirect.com or are you referring specifically to oem parts?

Genuine gas gas parts not aftermarket. Haines mc's do a few bit but really gas gas should sort it out and have a parts diagram of the whole bike and let you order on line 24/7.

I placed an order overnight on the GG Aust site and this afternoon I got a phone call from my new local dealer. I have the option of having the part sent from GG Aust to my local dealer and picking it up from there or I can have it posted directly to me from GG Aust. It was order number 86 so it seems that it hasn't been up and running for long. It seems that the list of dealers listed on the GG Aust site isn't up to date as my new local dealer isn't listed on there at all. The new importer Jeff? seems fairly keen on increasing the number of dealers in Australia and making it easier for owners to get the parts that they need. It's all sounding fairly positive for Gas Gas in Australia at least.
