Mountain bike training

I would like to practice and train more on 07 250 but not enough time to travel to ride. But found a good substitute. Got into mountain bike riding. There are 2 good bike riding trails 10 minutes from my office. I keep my mountain bike in back of truck and hit the trails 3-4 times a week. One set of trails are a challange and really work the legs. There are log crossings, down hills, up hills, sweeping turns ,tight turns and my favorite jumps. I can hold my on with the die-hard bike crowd. I feel this really helps with endurance and bike control. Plus it beats the heck out of stairmaster at the gym. Anybody else riding mountain bikes? I may even try a local race with my GG jeresy.

I definitely ride mtb a lot as cross training. I can ride right from my house and get in 2500+ feet of climbing in a 2 hour ride, talk about a leg workout!! There are some pretty sweet loooong down hills also (all single track of course), which makes the climbing worth it.

I ride a Santa Cruz Blur LT

Where's skidad? He does more mtn biking then dirt biking. Maybe he'll check in then again...

I'm still checking in here but no dirt bike riding. I don't even have one. Mostly mtn biking. Love how quite it is out there on the single track. I'm getting old. ;)

I live right at the base of Galbraith Mtn; it's been written up in all the mags. I've got a downhill ike, a 5" full supsnesion Kona Dawg Primo, and a Kona 29er hardtail.

Ride right from the house to these:

...and no, I don't ride that little rainbow skinny. I watch my buddies ride it in amazement.

Therre are a lot of excllent cross country trails up there that we ride also, but of course these make for better video.

Me and a few friends are mountain bikers mainly just single track stuff and some down hill but I agree it is great training for enduros!
