Well after working out of 12x14 shed for the last 7 years I am finally getting a proper shop!

I'm super envious...can't wait until I have the extra $$ to put a shop in...garage is stuffed full and it's a royal PIA to work on any of the bikes.

Great looking start - you'll have to keep us posted on progress and what you do with the inside :cool:

This the 3rd day of the build.

Sa-weet!

... Nice Storage space!

Are you going to wire yourself? I would run a 220 line out the back wall to be able to have a small pad off the back and mount a compressor outside (less noise).

Are you going to run in Air lines?

What are you going to do for lighting?

Thanks
I am going to wire it myself bring out 100amp service 220 volt.
I will be installing a 44 CFM compressor next spring which will be located out back. I will run the airlines, still trying to decide on what to run for line trying to stay away from black pipe so aluminum or copper.
Looking to go with 4' T-8's, would love to go with LED but just not in the budget. The fixture I selected can be upgraded to LED down the road if I want to.
So insulation, sheet rock still lots of work to do but will be a labor of love.

Sounds *really* nice....

Make sure you get HO (high output) ballasts on the flourescents - so they will start up in really cold weather.

And I am in the same boat as liv2day - the garage is so stuff full that I don't have room to move and work on the bikes. Wish I were in your shoes!

My friend Les did copper lines in his shop - not sure which is best/most cost effective these days. In the old days - it was galvanized...

Nice, love the upper floor storage area. We'd never be able to build like that here in oz, termites would have a ball

Frickin' awesome man, I bet you have a great time getting the interior exactly as you like

Keep us posted on what you do inside; I dream of the day I'm able to get the shop up where we live. Really cool to have access to the 'attic' like that; you planning to have plumbing out there?

Here are some updated pictures of the shop. Changed jobs and have been pretty busy but its almost a working shop. And the Jeep project has landed.

I have temporary heat right now, propane burner. Can work pretty comfortably with that. Walls are insulated with R-19 and ceiling with R-30. Leaning towards oil heat.
