Hi All,
After many, many years - Girard (gasgasman) has decided to step away from his role as a moderator on this forum.

Girard is the model of what all of us should aspire to be in the off road motorcycling community - Always giving back. Whether it be developing trails or putting on a national off road race - and besides keeping this forum going - guys like Girard make it so the rest of us have a place to ride, and race. As you can see, I have always been impressed by Girard as a moderator, his deep technical expertise and mechanical abilities, and his character.

My thanks to him for his many years of dedication and service to this community. It is a thankless job where sometimes all you hear are the complaints. Particularly on the rare occasion where it is necessary to step in and "moderate"...

Jeff.
Thank you for the kind words.

It's time for me to move on.
The ride was a great one for sure.

I appreciate all the great people I have met in person and online, through these forums.

A long time ago when I found this forum one person stood out as The guy with great answers . The GasGas Man help me and many others during a trying time for GasGas . I hope you have great things happen in your life and if you get up into the northeast look me up . I have a nice bunch of bikes to play on Trials N Enduro it would be an honor showing you some nice rocky slimy muddy hills n valleys in Pennsyvania .

Thanks for all your hard work Tom

From my first days here and elsewhere in the world of bikes your expertise and enthusiasm for the sport have always stood out. We've disagreed on some, but agreed on much more. You've always been ready to help those of us without your technical knowledge, and I've learnt a lot from your wisdom. Thanks for everything you've done Girard! Keep on keepin on!;)

Kudos to Gasgasman!

I met Girard in 2010. I had owned my GG for three years (bought it because of this forum). I was going to be in Houston for work for a couple of weeks in April 2010, which was nice weather in Houston (but not so nice in Minnesnowta). Girard met us at the Sam Houston Forest, showed us the trails, let us hang out with his riding buddies, and went to dinner with us (ahh, the Gumbo) later in the week.

I haven't ridden or been on the forum much in the past few years (work, kids in college, moving to Montana, etc.), but I always remember how kind Girard was to us. 100% class guy.
