I'm looking at updating in the next couple of months. I've ridden a new sherco and am going to try a beta 300 before I make my final decision. My question to forum members though, can anyone tell me the differences in engine performance between my 2012 ec300r and the current 2015 model. Also any other positives or negatives that the current model has over my bike. I don't have access to ride a new Gasgas so am looking to forum members to lend me a little of there knowledge.
Thanks in advance.

I've compared my 2013 250R to a demo 2015 250R. Can't tell you much in terms of engine performance though as my 2013 has been modified, and the 2015 was stock. It was also geared taller than mine. I did however jet it for the dealer and the bike was quite linear, with loads of torque and a very smooth delivery. Not nearly as aggressive feeling as mine.

Same to be said for suspension. Stock 2015 felt quite good. I found it very comfortable to ride, but noted a few things I would change when I started pushing the pace. Again, personal things here.

Haven't had a chance to play with the adjustable powervalve setup so no information in regards to that. Have noted a couple of issues with some pourous casting on the 2014/15 models.

I'm not sure upgrading from your 12 would be worth the exchange. If you want to stick with GG I'd suggest giving the 12 a birthday and calling it done. Then again, new bike feel is a nice thing too.
