New gasser owner. Please help

I just bought a 2011 300ec six days. I knew I would need the bike re-sprung, and probably a revalve. I was planning to just get springs for now but I eventually decided to just have the forks done and get a spring for the rear (888). The forks are being treated to a complete revalve with race tech bottoms, a complete rework of the mid valve, as well as others I can't accurately describe.

I decided to do the forks because I race a local hs circuit over the winter that is known for ROCKS. Big rocks, small rocks, embedded rocks, rolling rocks. To put it in perspective, after a typical race, you can usually clean your bike off with a paper towel. There's that little dirt around here.

My concern is whether the rear will seem better or worse with the reworked forks. I plan to have it revalved as soon as funds will allow, but will it get me by for now? Do you have any clicker setting you recommended for the type of riding I've discussed. I am a former katoom guy, so sag was all they ever talked about but it seems that the gasser guys prefer to preload settings.

I'm sure the tuner will go over this stuff when he gets my forks done, but what do you all think. Anyway, I can't wait to see what the famed gasser handling is all about.

Well I got my suspension back this evening. I'm in the process of installing my parts right now. The tuner didn't give me any info for the rear shock though. I have installed a 5.6 spring. I'm riding rocky hare scrambles. What are your suggested setting for my shock in these conditions (888). I've read a little on the crosstalk issue with the comp an rebound on this shock. Please point me in the right direction. The above links seem more about sag and preload than clicker settings. Thanks.

Well he's closed up shop till Monday and my race is this Saturday so I was looking for some advise. It'll tune it some Friday, then give it my best shot Saturday.

ps this bike seems to have a long powerband compared to my pumpkins. Can't wait to get it lined out and on the trails.
