I have an older Troy Lee (2006?) and the fit is a bit odd, there are pressure points on my forehead and scalp. I think the new models don't have this issue as much. I also have a Suomy and a UFO Warrior. The Suomy is light, but the UFO is lighter still. I like the UFO, it was priced good and they look cool in my opinion. Main thing with helmets is to realize what shape your head is. With my oval shaped noggin, the Troy Lee is an option, but not if I had a round head. UFO seems to be plenty roomy for me, that might be good for those with round M&M shaped skulls. Suomy seems a bit in between.
You can LIGHTLY sand away the EPS (styrofoam) liner to alleviate pressure points, but that is for minor adjustments, and something I haven't tried on my Troy Lee, but should. Never compress the EPS to adjust fit!
If you can go to a shop and try on some lids, that would be very good to determine shape fit, along with size fit.
