New Ohlins ttx 22 cartridges

Don't use their spring reference guide, it's for supercross I reckon! If you had your bike previously sprung for your weight, use those, you may have to go 1 rate higher, but I'd try what you've got first. Add oil above ohlins recomendations to stop bottoming, 20 to 30 cc should do it. The clickers work very well. You will love them.

ttx

Yes its the new 48mm zokes. The 2011 nambo come with them and the new triple clamp where the steering rake can be changed with offset bushings. Really neat set up

Ditto on the spring rates. I just spent two weeks of testing and taking my forks apart about 15 time (really) I ended up with 44, 48 is what ohlins sent and 300 cc oil. Now they are unreal. :D:D:D

ttx 22

Took my 48mm zokes to Ohlins today and they replaced the cartridges with new ttx 22's. What an experience, the lead suspension mechanic for the supercross team met me there as well as the top off road suspension guru from Sweden, he was there training other techs. He actually did the work as everyone watched, according to him this was the first 48mm zoke they have disassembled and replaced with Ohlins. Actually he said they were made very well and had the DLC coating on them. Anyway the Ttx's are on the bike ready for a rest ride. He also said these are upgraded pistons in the new ttx's and should be even more plush with better bottoming resistance than previous models. I will update everyone after my initial ride.

Nice! Plushfull plushness with the full Swedish massage. Wow, I'm scoping a ttx shock now........

Sounds like new ttx22 cartridges, though I haven't read anything about them. the ttx44 shock apparently is new as well, the shock has separate hi/lo adjustment for both reb and comp instead of the csc global low speed adjuster

ttx test ride

The new ttx 22 cartridges are incredible. I took off work around 12. Its rained all week here but today it was sunny and 55 degrees. I have a 32 Mile test loop of mostly single track with a couple of fast flowing sections about 6 feet wide along with all the regular stuff such as log crossings two creek sections about two miles each with plenty of rocks and a couple drops about 6 feet high. The fork responded incredibly smooth and plush with no deflection or kicking even in the wet creek. I had the previous set off ttx's and the bottomed easily but the new updated 22's have very good control and don't blow through the travel. They are incredible and worth every penny. This is an upgrade worth considering . I have 370ml of 5 weight oil, clickers are in the factory recommended settings and the forks are aligned to the second ring of the top triple clamp. The springs are. 44 my weight is 173 pounds.

GreyGhost.

What spring rates did you end up with? Have you had the new forks revalved, or still completely happy with the stock valving for 2012?

springs

I have .44 up front and a 5.2 rear. I think I need a 5.4. I revalved the 48's twice and I couldn't get the harshness out. The ttx's are stock and totally amazing way better than the previous ttx I had on my 2010

Email received and reply sent.

I will be running .46 front and 5.4 rear but not sure if maybe a 5.6 will provide better balance front to rear. I read you are 173lbs, is this fully geared up?

I'm loving your feedback re the 2012 valving being better than the 2010. I had heard from a few that they were a little too easy to bottom on the big hits. I'm excited!
