Anyone used powerseal usa to replate their cylinder?
Theyre nearer to me and prices are good compared to others ive seen.
My 300s gotta get done
Any recommendations?
Also who makes the best piston? im leaning towards the wossner.I know coatings work well in the automotive world.
Is athena a wossner?
I'm always looking for the best deal but will spend extra $ if i feel the quality is worth it.
Any recommendations?
Thanks

Powerseal did the big bore job on a riding partners YZ 285...Having ridden it, the engine is awesome, runs cleanly, and there have been no troubles. The price was one of the best, too! As for piston, I've heard good and bad on cast vs. forged...All I can say is that the local dealer has started using Wossner's and that is what I would use when I change mine in the future.

Powerseal did a very nice job on my '01 XC300.

Forged pistons are tougher, but require a slower warm up to avoid cold seize.

The shop I work at send 3 to 4 cyl. a month to powerseal without any problems. Also know a few people working there, great people and good work. Stock as of my bike 2010 300 was a S3 marked Vertex cast piston. I would go that direction for A,B,etc. sizing when getting plating done. Wiseco and other forged pistons do not offer this option in most cases. We could go on all day if cast or forged is better.

try to get an A piston if you can....
