1982 Husqvarna 430XC - complete bike, not a basket case or parts bike. Prime candidate for AHRMA/vintage racing.
I can't believe that I am going to sell it, I have had this bike about 25yrs. Due to recent knee surgery, I won't be doing any vintage racing/riding any time soon (I can't even kick start it) and need a dirtbike with E-start.
If you know anything about these old big bore bikes then you understand.
This bike is in overall great condition, a little TLC and you are ready to ride/race!
Original Frame/Engine/Gearbox - 6spd - in great condition, awesome compression!
Frame/Engine numbers are correct.
Malcom Smith oversize plastic tank [made for this bike, not a universal unit] in great condition, the original owner installed it. I do not have the stock metal tank and never did.
Mikuni carb.
Original Rims [gold] are in excellent condition.
Original Hubs in great condition.
Original Forks good and straight with original air caps and rubber covers!
Original Gold "HUSQVARNA" fork lowers are still gold.
Original red/burgandy bodied OHLINS shocks/springs.
Original Plastics and airbox assembly.
Mark Barnett chromoly Answer bars from the late 80's!
Drum brakes (f/r) in good shape.
Steering head/front wheel/swing arm bearings in great shape, rear wheel bearings have a tiny bit of play and should be replaced.
Good chain/sprockets.
PARTS ARE NOT HARD TO FIND, COSTS ARE ABOUT THE SAME AS A MODERN BIKE
Forks & Shocks need to be serviced, I would replace the rear wheel bearings. Front tire is worn out, the rear is in great shape.
