This ride took place in Edwards, Colorado this past Saturday and it covered roughly 45 miles of double and single track. The weather was perfect as it was cool in the morning and reached a high of 70 degrees with hardly a cloud in the sky. The GPS unit said we reached 10,988 feet high and, as seen in the first picture, we managed to ride through a dusting of snow left from a couple days prior. The next few pictures show various parts of the single track as well as the double track to give an idea of what it looks like out here on the non-rocky trails. The remaining pictures show Jack (the 68 year old) and our bikes as well as Mark ("Stuck Mark" the trials guy) standing on a boulder above the trail. If you look closely at the boulder to the left you may be able to barely make out the trail going through the brush. This trail is steep, tight, twisty, and it has two rock ledges that look a whole lot worse than they really are! Overall it was a great fall day for riding and it will likely be the last high mountain trail ride for 2010. Time to go lower!
