Ohlins Triple Clamp Question

Hey guys...

I have a friend with a 300EC, he converted to Ohlins forks, and has really nice CNC machined GasGas triple clamps. The upper clamp has two different hole sets for handlebar mount placement, and a "GG" on it between the handlebar mounts. The lower is really beefy and uses hex (Allen) head bolts to secure the fork tubes.

Does anyone know which bikes these came from, and how I can get a used set?

Thanks!!!
James

from what i have read, the ohlins forks were an upgrade package, and the triple clamp is different. certain bikes did come with them, if they were ordered that way. if you wanted the ohlins, i think you would need to find the ohlins specific triple clamp.

What he said. They are specifically different clamps.

So, when my friend upgraded to Ohlins, he must have also purchased the Ohlins specific triple clamps...

Are the Marzocchis a different fork tube diameter than the Ohlins?

Anyone have a set of Ohlins compatible triple clamps they can part with?

If he didn't than they should not have fit.

Yes they are. There is also the fact that some bikes (I believe the EC's) came with 46mm Ohlins as an option, and others (MC's) came with 48mm Ohlins.

You have to look at the code on the bottom of the fork leg to tell which ones you have, or measure them.

I have tried to find these, never had any luck. I bought a EC that had the Ohlins package, when I parted it out the clamps/forks/axle all went as one piece.
