gear oil is leaking from the sprocket seal. can it be changed with out splitting the engine, cant seem to remember

A small angled pick, new seal, this should be all you need.Drain the oil first.

cheers mate what about the two small o rings can the be picked out just in case its them

Yes, but save yourself some time and replace all of it o rings sleeve and seal or it will keep leaking.

If you lay your bike on its side no need to change oil.

Use a little blue locktite for lubricant on the outer edge of the new seal. Seal will slip in easier and then the locktite will set up and hold the seal in good.
