i bought repacking for my fmf pipe (it needs it bad) but i have one problem, i have no clue how to take the pipe apart to put it in. do you just pull the rivets? sorry for the ignorance, im new to the sport

Don't take the riveted side off. Remove the muffler, the other end has allen screws. Sometimes they can be a bear to get apart because the spooge kind of glues the peices together.

ok cool! i didnt know that. and ya, theres lots of splooge. as there anything i can do do to the carb to change that? its bad. runs good, just lots of splooge. thanks!

spooge is a jetting issue .... too much unburned oil coming through the pipe. While unsightly ... its not the end of the world. Probably needs to be leaned out some ... what premix ratio are you running. Have you been into the carb and seen what you have jetting yet?? Got any experience messing with jetting.

the only jetting expierence i have is with a 390cfm holley on a 300 cid ford, so that would be a no. and i havnt dug into the carb yet to see what i have. right now im running a 40:1 of Yamalube 2R. someone put up a jetting set of like a cck 3rd clip, 178 main, 42 pilot that id like to try, supposed to be real gentle, no real hit anywhere, good for beginner (i.e. me), but i dont know where i would buy individual jets like that, and i was thinkin about getting the ltr kit from gofasters too. the main thing i got against the splooge is that the rubber piece where the pipe and silencer meet has a big tear in it, and it drips splooge everywhere, including a great big spot on my boots, and i havnt gotten time to put a chunk of radiator hose over it yet. any jetting that you would recommend that would clean it up a bit and not get me killed?

thats the jetting a generally run on my 06 300 ....
get a new rubber thing for your pipe it can't be too expensive. I got my jets locally and I think I got my cck from ron of rb designs a site sponsor

im just gunna put the piece of hose over the hole for now, till i get the ambition to swap the piece out.

I needed that rubber piece for my KTM 300, it was $25.00...I went to my local Lowes and purchased a piece of black hose that fit perfectly and a hose clamp for each side, cost about $6 and never leaked again, plus I have enough hose left over to last me a lifetime.

It was labeled as heater hose or something to that effect. Just black rubber hose is all it is (thicker then a garden hose). It was in the cut-it-yourself section. I just brought the joint with me. They didn't have the exact size, but very close, I was able to use soap and got it to stretch over the joint relatively easily.
