how you guys doing? nice forum you've here. i'm located up in the North East and used to work for a Gas-Gas dealer. i'm currently employed at a Yamaha/Suzuki store as the Parts Dept. Mang. and have Gas-Gas customers buying parts from me. in my constant "quest" to serve my customers i've found many sources that carry aftermarket parts for the Gas-Gas's. i recently discovered the Vertex Pist. kits for the 250/300's. (which Athena kits are you guys talking about?) i've searced every where and haven't been able to locate aftermarket engine gaskets or seal sets. now don't get me wrong here, i'm not trying to steal buisness away from the OEM dealer. the customers are searching me out due to my previous affiliation, knowledge, and general customer service i provided them with. i've searced the usual vendors such as Parts Unlimited and Tucker Rocker and found nothing. anyway, thanks in advance. Bob.

Havent seen aftermarket seals yet,, but check on gasgasrider.org for the crossover list. There are probably some yami parts that fit the gasgases.

I'm only aware of OEM gaskets from GasGas. The only aftermarket brands that I have seen are Cometic, Vesrah, Moose, and Tusk (through RockyMountain). Actually, Moose and Tusk just relabel them as theirs. Vesrah seem to only supply the Jap bikes. Cometic is the best hope and they even offer custom made gaskets through their site.

Gaskets OEM only. All bearings, seals, o-rings are industrial standard metric parts, available from various suppliers. This is the big difference between a small company like GG and Japanese companies that have special parts made that you need to buy from them at 10X the cost. If you consult the GG parts manual, most of the parts descriptions for seals and bearings also list the metric size. I buy all these common parts in quantity like this for a fraction of the cost of Jap or KTM equivalents. If you do this you always have something available for quick replacement that may save a ride.

Athena makes gasket kits for the 125 and 250. I'm not sure if anyone imports them for the US market.

The Athena piston kit for my 300 contained a Wossner piston and rings.

that's more like it! i've checked all the vendors 07 new parts lists and nothing's listed for 07 for gaskets/seals. it would be nice to see someone get on board. i'm sure as Gas-Gas grows so will the aftermarket supply of parts. i have a source for OEM parts. as you know the margin is small and doesn't allow for the discounts my cutomers expect. oh well, i'll do what i can for them. again, thanks.:)
