PHDS handle bar mounts

I'm thinking of using a KTM PHDS handle bar mounting system on an '08 EC 300. It looks like some machining of the mount base may be necessary to get it flat. Has anyone tried this? Any suggestions?

The KTM PHDS has a slot in the down side, to position on the triple clamp. As far as I know the universal PHDS does not has this slot. What you can do is million the side of the lower surface to get a flat contact surface.
