It's been a dry year in the south west, particularly AZ.

My air filter looked like chocolate cake, just after 2 1/2 hrs.

Woof, sounds like what my filter looked like after riding China Hat (desert OR).

Have you ever tried running the filter skins? I have a set of these, but haven't tried them yet. I might be heading to the OR desert next weekend and considered giving them a try (as opposed to bringing spare filters for the trip).

Filter skins tend to roll off conical filters.

The Twin Air covers work well.
