Pipe crossover?

I came across this page and wondered if anyone had tried this route.

A quote from the post, "Honda CR250R -'96 pipes can be easily adapted for the 250/300 twostroke TMs (just saw and file some material away in the area of the headpipe). GasGas Messico pipes fit on TMs". Very curious. Any thoughts?
